VIGNALE MONFERRATO

“Work makes days prosperous, wine makes Sundays happy”
—Charles Baudelaire

The small village of Vignale Monferrato occupies a privileged position, surrounded on one side by the imposing arc of the Alps and on the other by the Ligurian Apennines
A region rich in food and wine excellence, famous for bagna cauda and boiled meats, savory seasonings, truffles, muletta (salami) and Barbera del Monferrato wine.
Among Vignale's architectural treasures, passing the Civic Tower and the Urbica Gate, we find the medieval Church of the Beata Vergine Addolorata with the nearby Convent of the Servants of Mary, built between 1470 and 1505, in the Gothic style. On Garibaldi Street you can admire the picturesque Casa del Serpentello, decorated with terracotta tiles, a building with Gothic influences made by artist Luciano Serpentello in 1925. And don't forget to check out Morgari's frescoes inside the Castle Parrocchiale di San Bartolomeo, designed by Architect Magnocavalli
