The Silva family has been cultivating its 30 hectares of vineyards between Vignale Monferrato, Altavilla and Casorzo since 1976. The winery was founded by Enrico Silva, Pietro's great-grandfather, who gave the winery its name: le vigne di Piè...tro. Leaving the rice fields of the Po Valley, the family's ancestor ventured into the rolling hills of Monferrato, following a dream.
Here he took up the challenge. A man of the plains, he was determined to produce the best wine in Monferrato.
With humility, dedication and self-sacrifice, he learned, starting with the first hectare of land, which he bought in 1976, together with the farmhouse and the cellar, which still today houses the winery, which first belonged to Roberto Silva, then to Luca, and now already looking to the future, to the fourth generation, that of Pietro, Luca and Annalisa's son.
